It is my privilege to welcome you to the first ever National Talent Summit. The theme for this inaugural conference is the “DEIB Talent Life Cycle”. The conference will include a training from April 26, with the full conference taking place April 27-28.
Building on the past successes of our National Diversity & Leadership Conference featuring former CEO of Hewlett Packard (HP) Enterprise Carly Fiorina, Political Commentator Donna Brazile, Actress Angela Bassett, and former President Barack Obama, this three-day conference will include amazing speakers and leading professionals that will spearhead break-out sessions and training workshops.
With the theme of the summit being the DEIB Talent Life Cycle, the conference focuses on Attracting, Recruiting, Hiring, Developing, and Promoting. The future belongs to the next generation and our focus is to recognize those who will lead them. This upcoming generation will face challenges from problems we can’t even imagine. But for now, they lead in obscurity with intention, inclusiveness and collaboration, standing ready in the wings at organizations across every industry. They deserve our support, investment, and recognition, which is what our conference is about. Even though this is our first conference, we are expecting virtual attendance to reach over 1,000. Our goal is to provide companies and professionals with the tools and resources necessary to identify and promote diverse talents within their organization. My hope is that this conference empowers attendees to share valuable resources and practices in DEIB with their organizations, coworkers, managers, senior leaders, and anyone else they encounter.
In closing, I want to say a big “THANK YOU” to our sponsors, speaker, and panelists for their continued support. I also want to acknowledge the volunteers and organizers who have worked to bring this Conference to life. Without you all, none of this could have been possible. We hope to leave a lasting impact on both companies and professionals, as we continuously strive for a truly inclusive society.
